hi everyone! :)
i hope sutc had been meaningful for you guys. for the sec 1s, it is really something you guys should treasure, since it was the first camp you guys went through (other than overnight). i hope it opened your eyes to the importance of the values taught and made you guys forge a batch spirit and to care for each other. for the sec 2s, i hope you guys took the opportunity to display your leadership skills in leading the trainees. sutc demanded a lot from you guys, and i hope you guys realised that being the backbone of the trainees, you guys should never let yourself down, let alone the sec 1s. the other sec 3s, i also hope being SS taught you the importance of being role models to the trainees. throughout sutc, i observed you guys and i applaud all of you for putting in effort in pulling through the camp.
brandon,
i am really really impressed with you for showing support to your batchmates. during the constant pumping at the rjc field, canteen, gym hall atrium, you never let yourself down, and kept shouting words of support for your batchmates. i am pretty sure the people around you were extremely grateful to you for supporting them. you did not give up, and whenever i laid eyes on you, you seemed to be struggling so much but yet, you wowed me with your spirit. good job, brandon. your capabilities will see you through your 01 life. this is just the beginning. :)

wei yang,
i saw you at times during the camp, and you didn't seem to be affected much by the sluggish and tiring nature of the camp. you seemed cheerful and at mealtimes, you tried to cheer your batchmates up. i really hope sutc changed your perception of 01 and also transfomed you, mentally, physically in assuming leadership and applying values you learnt in you 01 life. you should also speak up more, and lead cheers, encourage your batchmates, etc. congrats for surviving sutc :)
nicholas,
similarly, i believe you have the potential to speak up more. don't let sutc bring you down. 01 is not just about its physical torment. there is a meaning behind all this. your batchmates needed you and i am sure you felt the same way. i hope sutc made an impact to your character. during the pumping sessions, i didn't really hear much from you, but i understand you might be feeling tired and fatigue took control, take your time to gain confidence and prove to me that you can also, like the other sec 1s, can show moral support at times such as these. all the best :)
martin,
good job for surviving sutc! you showed your capabilities in leading the trainees, and i am impressed that you managed to pull through despite falling sick halfway due to unforeseen circumstances (..). i really saw that you were foaming and battling with yourself to push on. in the SS room, you seemed dead and really really foaming. like i said, sutc demanded great strength, resilience and support from the sec 2s, and you showed me that one should never give up despite circumstances such as these. continue to show me your potential. :)
lucas,
ah yes, good things come in small packages. during the SS-organised programmes, i saw you leading the patrol and showing initiative. even though you seemed quiet most of the time, i believe you have the potential to lead the trainees and be able to support your batchmates and the juniors. sutc was the time for you to shine, so prove to me you have what it takes. don't be disheartened that the rest of your batch have all it takes, you are not alone :) being the cheerful, jumpy and can-talk-all-day-long kind of person, show me that you are more than just that. good job anyway :)
i hope sutc ended on a good note for you guys. take away what you should take away, and for the horrors, adversities and terrible incidents that you guys faced, let it be a lesson that what doesn't kill you can indeed, make you stronger. remember, sutc, is just the beginning.
"Maintain by your bearing, and conduct the dignity of your position. Protect the weak, spur the faint-hearted. Curb the unruly and the thoughtless. Suffer your own cheerful devotion and zeal. Be firm, be discreet. Be as far above favour as you are above fear. Go now on your path of leadership, conscious of the trust reposed in you. And may God prosper your work."
