annual raincamp 2011

HELLO KINGFISHER!

AC is over and it was awesome! We got 3rd and that is really an accomplishment we all should be proud of. Nonetheless, the standings don't matter at all. We all had fun throughout the five days, through thick and thin, through rain and... er.. more rain and many defeats. This year's AC was one I truly enjoyed and thanks to you guys for making it so memorable for me.

To be honest, as a PL, I was extremely nervous about AC, not because KF would get trashed badly by the other patrols, but because I want to treasure it as the last AC for me, and making it an enjoyable experience for you guys. I can't help but think of how I can make it an enriching experience for the Sec 1s and to groom the Sec 2s to lead KF to greater heights.

I guess I did well, and you guys enjoyed yourself.

AC is not all about patrol rivalry, let's get that clear, it doesn't matter which patrol comes in first, or last. We help each other in times of need and we are a whole SU. I'm proud that you guys put others in front of yourself.

First day of camp, Falcon and our patrol had trouble with our kitchen tent since we got the safari tent which was much much heavier than the normal tarp. You guys helped out Falcon and we worked together to erect both our structures up. It was a commendable effort, and it's true that AC should not be merely bordered by patrol rivalry and bigotry.

We spent the first four days working hard developing our campsite, and the time we spent doing that was something I found extremely memorable and immeasurable. The rain didn't stop us and we had fun despite the gloomy weather. Do not be sad that we didn't do that well, but be happy that we had fun as a patrol and the memories we share are irreplaceable.

Thanks kingfisher for making my last AC as a scout, truly, a memorable one.

alis animi,
mus :)
